Got 100 on the paper I missed Halloween for ^_^

Name Change?

Hey everyone, I just caught wind that someone with my username (knux223) has been popping around to a number of websites dealing with beastiality and shotacon (for those of you who don't know, Shotacon is like drawn child pornography dealing with little boys). I don't want people to associate me with this stuff, so I need opinions. Should I pay the $15 here for the name-change token and change my username to something else (I already know what I would change it to), should I just make the new journal and just abandon this one completely, losing all of my previous entries, or should I just bite the bullet and not do anything?

**edit**
Well, apparently with the most recent LJ update, they are allowing us to plead our cases and they are giving out a handfull of rename tokens to those with the most compelling cases. I threw my story in, hopefully they feel I am worthy of a token (I have some support from another user, so hopefully that goes somewhere with the LJ staff.)

How well do you know the Husky behind all of this madness?

Well, I've noticed this done a few times before and decided I guess I'll do one. I know that not a lot of you REALLY know me, but maybe this will give you a chance to learn a little more about me. If you're compelled to wager a guess, there's only one thing up there that's not true about me.Poll #1083686 About Me

Chernobyl

I was playing STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl yesterday and started to think; I think it'd be really cool to visit the reactor and the city (except for the whole radioactivity thing). I'm just thinking of how it would look, the reactor and surrounding area frozen in time, the eerieness and creepyness of the still countryside, the sound of absolutely nothing aside from myself standing alone in a ghost city. I think it'd be quite a sight to see it in the winter with the snow covering everything, the chills running down your spine as you walk through this area that was literally abandoned back in 1986. The only thing I don't think would be that cool would be that when I get back I'll be glowing and have an extra arm coming out of my face.

*at work* Tired... need... sleep...

The diner meet went over pretty well last night, got to see a bunch of friends and have a good time. I picked up a friend of mine and we had one hell of a time getting from his school to I-91 thanks to Mapquest. We had to ask one of the security guards at his school for directions and that cleared things right up. We got to 91 no problem, seeing 4 accidents on the way. Anyway, we dispersed from the diner rather early (well, earlier than I'm used to) and a few of us went to a hotel about 15 minutes away for a party that two of the CT furs were having. The party was really cool, played a lot of Wii, hung out with some really cool people, and I got to taste this amazing raspberry Iced tea. I finally cut out of there around 2, because I realized that I have to get up for work >_< Damnit I wish I could've stayed longer, that was a really fun time. Anyway, I'm now sitting at work bored out of my skull. Steam is being a bitch and not letting me play Portal, Team Fortress 2, or HL2 Episode 2. When I click on them it keeps saying, "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again later." I've reinstalled each and it continues to say that.

I don't know what I'm going to do about my friend coming over later, I am tired as all hell from staying out last night and I almost fell asleep on my way here. I don't know if it'll be safe for me to drive up to his place and pick him up in my current condition, seeing as though he's about a half an hour further up from where I am right now and it'll be close to an hour driving home.

My Halloween and happy stuff

Well, monster/candy day has come and gone. Not much happened except I had to go to school and work. Up at school quite a few people dressed up and I was rockin' my fursuit at school/work (Picture soon hopefully). I was sitting in psych and my professor was talking about depression and suicide and Quailman walks past the window (from the old Nickelodeon cartoon Doug). I started to chuckle to myself and my professor catches me.
Him: "Do you find something funny about this?!"
Me: No, Quailman just walked by!
and the entire class runs to the window to see. Went to work right after class and threw my fursuit on. Got a few laughs and high fives from that one, but basically uneventful. After work I played the Dodge Trick-or-treaters game on my way home from work and I won! Those kids really need to learn to stay on one side of the road until a car goes by... I got home and rummaged through our candy basket (all that nobody took) and got a lot of pretty nice stuff! I then went upstairs and sat down to write my Investigation paper... (What kind of professor makes a 2 page paper due the day after Halloween???!!!)

Happy stuff:

Thanks alot [info]xerxesqados, now I have to do this!

The rules are easy, just post 10 things that recently made you happy! Then tag 10 people and force them to post this meme on their LJs. Because it is good. Everyone needs a little happiness once in a while. :D

1) Fursuiting at school/work.
2) Furfright
3) Getting my first character reference sheet.
4) Knowing that the furmeet is tomorrow.
5) Getting to hang out with one of my favorite artists (Dark Natasha)</b></a>[info]
6) Scout Halloween party (I had the best costume there, Thank you Growly and Bladespark!)
7) Playing CRYSIS
8) Getting the thumbs up on the current status of
[info]draganta's picture
9) Getting a B+ on my Psych midterm and a B on my Programming exam
10) Getting a large display sign/poster for Ratchet and Clank Future

Alright... Who shall I force this upon???

The Husky's Sunday

Just got back from checking out the gun show with my father, I picked up a brass catcher for my HBAR. There were a lot of really cool things to look through, tactical vests, gas masks, guns, accessories, etc. but all were out of my price range. I was thinking of picking up an airsoft M-14, but realized that it was $200, which just trashed that idea. Right now, I'm waiting for my mom to get here, we're going to pick up some pumpkins, which I have an idea for... *evil smile*

Furfright Artz!

Well, my scanner is out of commission at the moment, so I took pictures of the artz I got from Furfright. Once I go to work I'll be able to scan them.

It is 5:30 am, i'm tired as hell, and I cannot sleep.

well, instead of this being an all negative entry, I'll start off with some positive statements. Since my last entry, I threw on my fursuit and went exploring around the hotel. I've found that if I wear my forensics jacket it really helps because I don't have to worry about arms/paws falling off. Anyway, I went up to the movie room and caught the end of Pom Poko, and if you don't know what it is, it's a japanese movie about Tanuki, then I went downstairs and got in on some Apples to Apples, then danced a bit, joined a bunch of fursuiter "zombies", and then I hung out with [info]unclekage a bit. [info]xerxesqados got into a discussion with him about wines, which I hear he knows a thing or two about ;) and then it just went from there. We hung out until about 12:30 and that's when I figured that if I'm going to be awake for the masquerade rehearsal in the morning, I'd better get to sleep. Well, we picked up a few furs and this is where my journal goes a bit downhill. We let a couple take one bed, They needed it for a night and will pay me cash in the morning, and Xerxes and I were going to take another. We had one more fur crash here and Xerxes insisted that he share our bed.... Three furs in one bed? Bad idea. No, before you go thinking that we were doing something X-rated, nothing like that happened, but I just woke up and I was hanging off the bed. I had a foot and a half to myself, and I can't sleep on my side. I had to move myself to the armchair, and made a makeshift "bed" out of the armchair, footstool, and desk chair. The AC in the room won't turn off and I can't get the comforter off the bed, So I've had to bundle up. Thank goodness I brought my hoodie. I've been tossing and turning for the last 3/4 of an hour and I still can't sleep on my little makeshift "bed", but due to the differences in height, it doesn't feel very nice. I'm thinking of taking a lap or two around the hotel to try to make myself more tired.

Helllllo from Furfright!

Well, [info]xerxesqados and I just got a 24 hour pass for online use and I figured I'd let people in on the goings on of CT's Halloween Fur con. So far it's been a pretty cool time, we've explored the hotel (Which is AWESOME and will have a $5 million indoor water park in 2009), we just got back from American Steakhouse, [info]wally_wabbit set up a fursuiter feast and we all jumped into our cars and went there, but for our car, it was quite an adventure. I realized as we pulled out of the parking lot that I couldn't find the directions. Then when we went to call Wally, I couldn't find my phone with his number in it. So we went back, found the directions and my phone, and then couldn't read the street signs, as the defroster in my car SUCKS, it was raining pretty hard, and I kept having to wipe off the windshield. To make a long story short, we went past where we were supposed to, then turned around and eventually found our way there. We made it safely back, (I just followed the way that we took and went backwards.) Anyway, I got a few cool things in the dealer's area, I picked up a badge, a print from Dark Natasha, and Aura Moser's CD.  More detailed report later, going to do stuff now.

I've been baptised

Yes, for all who listen to 2 Sense, I have been Baptised by the Gryphon and Julie. For those who don't know what it is, he lets people who are having trouble thinking up a fursona for themself send in a little thing about themselves and he'll think up a name and species for them. I sent that in to him before Snow was even born in hopes of him helping me think up a fursona for Anthrocon, and he just now got to it. Anyway, I have a second fursona as of now, and that is Graff The Leopard.

GAH AGAIN!!!!

Damnit... Remember a few posts back when I said that my windshield cracked? Well, I got it replaced and it happened again. I went out to my car (up at school this time) and there was a huge crack in it... This time it was in an area where people frequently go past, so it's not a natural occurance this time. Looks like I'm going to Furfright with a broken windshield...

umm... crap

I went into Stop and Shop today to cash my last check before Furfright, and I decided that I need a stop and shop card. I went up to the counter and the lady starts going through my info, she runs my SS# and license to check for credit history and such and she's like, "Umm... are you sure that this is your SS#? It shows that it's being used..." and we went through the number again, and someone is using my Social Security Number...shit... It's being used under another name, so I guess I'm feeling a little better knowing that it might have just been a slip up when the other person put in the other person's info. I can't think of anywhere that I would have given my SS# other than school

She said she's going to look into it and call me back by the end of the week

Wedding and Anthrocon

Went to my cousin's wedding yesterday which was an adventure and a half. I met up with a bunch of my aunts and uncles in a commuter lot near my house and we waited for our bus to Jersey to arrive. We waited... and waited... and waited... only to find out that the bus went to the wrong lot. When it finally got there, we all piled in the bus, well, we took up half the bus and everyone got their own row. It was a pretty cool trip, we had this crazy driver, Frank, who was the man. My cousin took out her pictures of Greece and Egypt, and they were much cooler than the "ooo...ahhh...special..." pictures that you usually see when people bring them back, she got pictures from parties and other cool stuff they did over there. My aunts and uncles brought lots of stuff to eat/drink for the ride, I think it was funny how they brought this expensive wine for the trip there, but not for the wedding itself. At one point, I was talking to my cousin and my uncle was trying to pour wine for her, and we were going over lots of bumps and such so it was going more on her than in the glass, so he had to get the glass on the floor, crouch down, and my aunt had to hold onto his belt so he didn't fall over. It was a very funny sight to see XD When we got there, the wedding immediately (well, almost) started and it was a very short ceremony, only being about a half an hour. After, we went to this ultra snooty and fancy country club which had better stuff for hordeurves than the actual dinner. They put out Roast beef, crab, lobster, shrimp, steak, stuffed mushrooms, and tons of other stuff. My aunt, (The mother of the groom) kept stealing the decorations off of the trays and saying, "I'm the mother of the groom." to the waitresses, and it got to the point where they would be coming to our table and they'd take the decoration off and hide it from her. The rest of the night was pretty much uneventful, except I was very impressed with the bathrooms of this place. Instead of stalls, this place had separate rooms for each toilet off of the main bathroom. I've never seen something like that before. And the bartender knew what I wanted before I got to the bar by the end of the night. He'd see me coming and start filling my glass with coke and throw a lemon in there. On the way back, our bus got caught in traffic while trying to cross the George Washington Bridge in New York, so we got back to the commuter lot at 12:45am and my cousin had to be at a walk for autism this morning at 6 (Be THERE at 6, she had to get up at 5:15 to get there in time) and she had to drive home from southern CT to Boston, MA, because my aunt and uncle were too tired to drive, so she didn't get ANY sleep. Well, this trip was also a learning experience. From this trip I found out that I  REALLY don't like Champagne

Also, I'm badge number 189 for Anthrocon 2008!

Warm shirts and serving sizes on water?

Got a few articles of clothing today, I received my new Forensics jacket and I thought it was funny that it came in an EVIDENCE bag, I opened the box and laughed at the wrapping. I also received a few shirts from Cafepress today, I'm not going to say what they are, but those going to Furfright will see them. Here's the thing about them though, they came at around 6 tonight, and have been sitting in my front hall until 9:30 when I got home from work, and when I opened the bag and tried the shirts on, they were warm! My front hallway was pretty cold tonight, and they've been sitting there in a little bag (which was cold BTW) and they had that "fresh from the dryer" warmth that everyone knows and loves so much ^_^

Also, I was sitting in work and I got a bottle of water. Something caught my eye, apparently there is a serving size on water... a 20oz bottle of Dasani water has 2.53 (I'm pretty sure of that number, I threw the bottle out) servings in it. I know that if they don't put that there someone will fill a bucket of water and give themselves water poisoning like that lady who wanted to win a Wii, and sue the company, but there's 2 and a half servings in a 20oz bottle?! Last time I checked, 20 ounces of water didn't hurt anyone and I like how they have to waste the ink to tell you that there's no calories, sodium, or anything in the water, isn't that assumed unless it's flavored or has something else in it??? Oh wait, I live in America, if it's not explicitly shoved in your face and specified, someone will sue or they will be afraid to drink your water because it may have calories in it. I want to put out my own line of water. It will have a white label and will simply say "WATER" in black letters and have a barcode so people can buy it.

Furmeets, Videos, and my nightly cost

Just got a chance to really sit down and write about stuff.

Furmeet: Met up with a bunch of furs last night for a meet which was really fun, met up at a diner in Rocky Hill, CT and grabbed some food, afterward, we just piled outside and I got a little fursuiting in XD. We ended up around quarter to one in the morning and I started the hour trek back home so I could get some sleep in and get up for work this morning.

Video: just got linked to a video up on Youtube that was posted on August 8 from AC this year that I appeared in a few times, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvlfuoPi240 There is a segment closer to the end of a bunch of suiters wandering around PIttsburgh and that brought back sooooo many fun memories
